The Process
The DESIGN
Custom Design starts with an idea. Bring in any loose stones, old pieces of jewelry, and/or pictures of some design ideas you like. We can incorporate what you like about each design into a single piece of jewelry using your stones.
In store we will record all of your design requests and produce a simple sketch of our design plan. From here, we will send you a CAD image of the design
The CAD
A CAD is a computer-aided process that uses exact measurements to produce a realistic image of a jewelry design. After collecting all of your information, we will send you multiple renders of your design. From here, you can talk directly to our CAD designer to make changes until your render looks just the way you like.
The MODEL
Once a render is approved, a resin or wax model may be 3-D printed or hand-carved. This allows you to see your design in real scale. You can put this model on your finger or hold it up next to an existing ring or pendant to be sure it is exactly the way you like it.
The FINISH
After your model is approved, we have multiple jewelers on staff ready to turn your design into a reality. Your model will be cast in the metal of your choice. We are currently casting in gold, silver, and platinum. From there, our expert stone-setters will set each individual stone to your design's specifications. A cleaning and polish when it's all done will leave a beautiful, one-of-a-kind piece designed by you.
